The Way We Hive

“What difference/change do you want to champion and drive within The Hive?”

Sally and Noj asked one Tuesday morning. So in true Hive fashion we took to the roundtables in our office to discuss the positive change we want to drive as a collective. “One of the core values laid out by the team themselves is Be High Energy and wow was this evident during discussions! With so much passion from each and every Hive team member it is fantastic to see this channelled into activity outside of the day to day to drive change from within.”- Lydia Matthews, COO

The key goals set out by the team sit within 3 core areas of focus. Introducing the Hive Committees:

Hive Gives Back
Sustainability at and within The Hive
Hive Well Being

And meet the team members charged with ensuring the goals live and breathe internally and externally…

I love being part of the giving back committee as I’ve always been passionate about helping people since a young age. I’ve worked on and launched different initiatives and projects in the past that made a real difference in people’s lives. The fact that I can combine this with The Hive Network and focus on it more makes a lot of sense. As a network we’ve achieved so much for our Retail and Finance members and partners globally which we are grateful for and now is the perfect time to focus on giving back…”

– Julie Nicolas, Chief Growth Officer, The Finance Hive

Here at the Hive, I believe we have an important role to play in continuing to give back to the communities we work in. There are many communities where we have a part to play and I am keen to help the Hive to do this.”

– Heidi Harrington, Event Executive, The Hive Network

Sustainability at and within The Hive

Mission:
Reduce waste
Educate and inspire the team and our Hives

There are so many important and wonderful causes out there, but without a healthy planet to live on, I feel that these pale into insignificance in the (very) long term… I also feel that climate change and other societal issues, such as racism, are strongly interlinked. I think everyone should be taking steps to tackle climate change, no matter how big or small, and working as a team to do this can lead to much greater results!”

– Lorna Andrews, Community Manager, The Hive Network

We are so excited to be hosting amazing in-person meetings this year and it’s now more important than ever to be aware of how we impact the environment. Sustainability is at the forefront of my mind so it was a no-brainer for me to jump at the opportunity to join the sustainability committee. I’m really looking forward to partnering with some incredible venues and organisations to minimise waste from all angles and ultimately improve the communities onsite experience.”

– Amy Beckwith, Operations Director, The Hive Network

Hive Well Being

Mission:
Foster an environment that motivates, inspires and comforts every team member
Celebrates success

I joined the well being committee to play my part to keep the team on top of their game and ensure everyone is happy and well – I believe social setting and happiness in what you do are two key things for success!”

– Frankie Shand, Marketing Manager, The Retail Hive

Mental well being is such an important driver within any business. I am so excited be a part of enabling this at The Hive and driving team morale in and out of the office!”

– Georgia Frett, FX General Manager, The Finance Hive
