The Day in Pictures: Global FX London, 2018

On 6 December 2018, we had the pleasure of hosting The Finance Hive’s third Global FX meeting in London at one of the finest and most prestigious venues in the City of London, the Honorable Artillery Company.

Chairing the meeting was senior FX trader at Insight Investments, Rich Turner and we were thrilled to welcome the Bank of England’s Executive Director for Markets, Andrew Hauser who urged the packed audience of over 80 senior buy side to sign up to the Global Code of Conduct emphasising that ‘at a time when FX markets are evolving rapidly, there has never been a more important time for investors active in those markets – all of you – to be shaping, and adopting, the norms, conventions and standards embodied in the Code.”

Before round table discussions began, David Clark (Chairman, EVIA) moderated a panel featuring Imene Rahmouni-Rousseau (Banque de France), Richard Purssell, (Insight Investment) and Robbie Boukhoufane, (Schroders) to debate the likely actions by central banks to prevent a repeat of the financial crisis and within the current regulatory environment.

We will be publishing a full report of the meeting’s discussions and in the meantime click on the gallery below, for the day in pictures:
