My crystal ball tells me, fast forward 10 years…
The roles of the teams in showrooms will change to become a hybrid of digital advocates (using the wealth of digital technologies available) whilst providing an exceptional physical experience. Some stores may be considered “dark stores” to an extent, with colleagues providing a physical experience to customers unable to visit the showrooms (using video, augmented reality and being able to transpose a created look in the showroom into the customers home via AR/VR).
