When Leder & Schuh needed an agile and reliable supply chain to support its geographic expansion and growth in online sales, they looked to DHL for help.
DHL managed the redesign and expansion of their Czech Republic DC. This space has now become their central distribution center for Europe. In addition to serving all retail locations, the warehouse now also fulfils all eCommerce orders. DHL integrated a warehouse management system, developed picking processes, installed packing stations, material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems. This all enabled fast, accurate fulfilment of online orders.
Integrating online fulfilment into the expanded central DC allowed for an increase of speed and efficiency of order fulfilment, reducing costs and increasing customer satisfaction.
The brand was also able to offer customers a wider product portfolio through its online store as a result of the integration.
