The magical Kensington Roof Gardens surrounded our friends and members once again, as we held our latest Retail Hive Live: Cracking International Markets.

Robin Phillips, Director of Digital, Kurt Geiger set the scene for the day by asking ‘why expand into international markets’.  The answer was clear: Growth. 

Retailers that have had success outside of the UK are those who enter new markets with a structured and disciplined approach to understanding which international markets have the most potential for growth.

The day continued with a panel Q&A consisting of Suzanne Egleton (Head of eCommerce, Ted Baker),  Helen Barnish (Former Head of International Development, Hamleys of London), Mark Batty (Head of International Development, Boden) and Bianca Mercer (eCommerce Director, Soak & Sleep) asking how best to build scale efficiently in new markets.
